Privacy

Freeform is a hobby project. This page explains what it stores about you and how to remove it.

Without an account

You can use the editor without signing in. Your current gradient and the gradients you save are kept in your browser only (local storage) and never sent to us.

With an account

When you sign in with Google, we store:

• your email address and Google account name (never shown to anyone),
• your public name (generated for you, you can change it),
• the gradients you publish, the gradients you like, and reports you send.

Published gradients, their likes and your public name are visible to everyone. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in; there are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Download counter

To count downloads without counting the same person twice, we store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser for the current day. It can't be turned back into your IP address and is deleted after a day.

Where it is stored

The site runs on Vercel and the data is kept in a Neon Postgres database.

Deleting your data

Open the menu behind your avatar and choose Delete account. This removes your account, your published gradients, your likes and your reports right away.
